RAT CONTROL
Severe Rat Infestation — Terraced House, E17
Location: Walthamstow Village | Duration: 3 visits over 2 weeks
The Problem
Client reported scratching sounds in walls and loft at night. Signs of gnawing on kitchen joinery and rat droppings found under the sink and behind the boiler cupboard. Rats had entered through a broken airbrick at ground level.
Our Solution
Tamper-resistant bait stations placed internally and externally. Loft inspected and proofed. Broken airbrick replaced with steel mesh. Follow-up visit confirmed full clearance. Entry points sealed with mortar and steel wool.
Outcome: Property fully clear after visit 2. No reoccurrence reported at 6-month follow-up.
BED BUG TREATMENT
Bed Bug Outbreak — HMO Property, Wood Street
Location: Wood Street E17 | Duration: 2 visits over 10 days
The Problem
Landlord contacted us after tenants reported bites and visible bed bugs in mattress seams across 3 rooms of a 5-room HMO. Inspection confirmed heavy infestation including eggs and juvenile nymphs in headboards, skirting, and electrical sockets.
Our Solution
Full residual insecticide treatment applied to all affected rooms including cracks, skirting, and bed frames. Tenant prep sheet provided. Follow-up 10 days later to treat any eggs that hatched post-initial treatment.
Outcome: All 3 affected rooms cleared. Landlord issued with written clearance report for tenancy records.
WASP NEST REMOVAL
Loft Wasp Nest — Semi-Detached, Higham Hill
Location: Higham Hill E17 | Duration: Single visit
The Problem
Customer noticed large numbers of wasps entering through a soffit gap. Loft access revealed a mature nest approximately 40cm across, estimated at 3,000-4,000 wasps. Family with young children — urgent response required.
Our Solution
Technician in full PPE applied insecticidal dust directly into nest and surrounding cavity. Entry point sealed after nest was confirmed dead (within 4 hours). Soffit gap repaired to prevent future re-entry.
Outcome: Nest neutralised same day. Zero wasp activity confirmed by following morning. Customer satisfaction: 5 stars.
COCKROACH CONTROL
German Cockroach Infestation — Restaurant Kitchen
Location: Walthamstow High Street | Duration: 4 visits over 6 weeks
The Problem
Restaurant owner contacted us after a hygiene inspection flagged cockroach activity behind commercial kitchen units. German cockroaches (Blattella germanica) found in grease traps, behind fridges, and inside motor housing of dishwasher.
Our Solution
Commercial gel bait and crack-and-crevice treatment applied throughout kitchen. Monitoring stations installed. Four scheduled visits ensured complete elimination of all life stages. Written COSHH documentation provided for hygiene records.
Outcome: Zero cockroach activity at week 6 inspection. Restaurant passed subsequent hygiene inspection with no pest-related flags.
